Tinker Taylor and the General’s Eyes

Some are born to be heroes, others are forced into it out of desperation…

In September of 1776, the American Colony’s fight for freedom has barely begun, but George Washington is on the run and already in real danger of losing the war. Into this dire scene arrives sixteen year old Paddy Taylor, a tinsmith’s apprentice (tinker) by trade, but with an even greater vocation for intrigue and upheaval. More street urchin than freedom fighter, Paddy’s battle against the red-coated invaders has been focused on putting food in his belly and coins in his pockets, until the day his older brother, Tom, is “forced” to don a British uniform. Never one to back down from a challenge, Paddy sets out on a journey to “free” his bother. A journey that will take him from the Continental Army’s Headquarters into the heart of British controlled territory, and ultimately land him in the exact place and time to witness a young patriot as he makes the ultimate sacrifice for his country, showing Paddy by his selfless example that some things aren’t just worth fighting for…they’re worth dying for. From that moment on, Paddy has only one thing left on his mind. Finish the mission. What General Washington’s ‘eyes’ behind enemy lines had started, Paddy would complete. Little did he realized what the cost of that decision would be…or that he’d have to call upon the God he didn’t believe in to have any hope of pulling it off.

Status

The final draft of Tinker Taylor and the General’s Eyes is complete and we are in the final stages of building a proposal to send off to a publishing agent. Even before that happens, I’d like to start putting together the support team to give Tinker the best chance of success when the time comes to launch the book.

Prayer and Book Launch Support

I fervently seek all of your prayers as I work toward getting Tinker’s proposal ready to send off to the publishing agent and that a door would be open for it to move forward from there. Also, just as with traditional publishing, building book launch teams is a critical part of helping a novel to be well received.

ARC Readers or Advanced Reader Copy readers are the people who get to read the book after it’s made it through all the editing hurdles and it’s finally ready to be published but hasn’t yet been made available to the general public. We need ARC readers for Tinker, if you think you might be interested in being one and would like to know more about what that entails, please check out the ARC Reader page.

Thank you and have a blessed day!
