Two Steps forward…

I just wanted to take a minute to give a quick update on how my writing/publishing journey is proceeding…or not. Actually it is proceeding and quite well, I think. But I have to admit the road has been a bit bumpy at times. First the good news. The General’s Eyes has been submitted to The Steve Laube Agency to see if they’d be interested in representing it to traditional publishers. I feel very hopeful about the proposal, the book itself and the its chances of moving forward to be published. Your prayers for that to all play out would be so greatly appreciated.

Now for the part that has been a bit more of a trial, but I’m still rejoicing in it–when I’m not throwing myself a pity-party. Getting Lakehurst ready for self-publishing has been more of a struggle than I ever imagined. First of all, after having gone through it myself five times and Laurie doing the same, as well as a number of other wonderful people who’ve volunteered their valuable time to helping clean it up…I’m still finding mistakes and/or areas in need of a rewrite in every single chapter as I go through again. I told myself I wouldn’t publish it until I can read through it without finding a single error or place that gives me pause because of the sloppy writing, but I’m wondering if I’ll ever get there. And now you’ve just found yourself pulled into my latest pity-party. Sorry.

Still, all-in-all, everything is proceeding and I’ve actually also been working on my next book(s). I’m on chapter six of my new adult novel, Bridgers, and on chapter four of the next novel in my Tinker Taylor series, The Soldier Sailor. I guess that’s all for now.

Thank you and my the Lord bless you and yours always,

Mike
